Tetramorium bicarinatum is a species in the Myrmicinae subfamily. It's a colorful and active ant species that will grow increasingly rapidly. Once this species grows to more than 2,000 workers, it will begin producing fertilized queens, allowing them to form extremely large colonies that can grow incredibly quickly. This species is also somewhat invasive and can cause a plague if it escapes. Therefore, we recommend a good formicarium (enclosure) from our webshop. This is definitely not a species for beginners!
