Please note: this species is difficult to import from the country of origin, which means that they often do not survive the journey. Our offer is therefore very limited.
Information species
Oecophylla smaragdina, or the Asian weaver ant, one of our favorite ant species. The special thing about this species is that they weave their own nest. They mainly do this in the leaves of plants. The ants use the larvae to weave such a nest, because the larvae produce a special substance with which they can stretch threads. This ultimately creates a whole nest!
