Buying a Messor angularis means you're acquiring a relatively easy ant species. The ant has few demands regarding the conditions and environment in which it lives. It is, however, very wise to keep the ants away from vibrations, as these ants are very sensitive to them. It causes them stress, and you should, of course, try to avoid that. It also takes some getting used to these large soldiers. Otherwise, as a beginner, it's an excellent idea to buy a Messor angularis. You could hardly wish for an easier ant species.
