Buying the Crematogaster Auberti: Be warned about their climbing qualities

This ant is characterized by its relatively rapid growth. Colonies never exceed a few hundred workers. As mentioned, caution is advised with this ant. They are very adept at escaping, and they certainly utilize their considerable climbing abilities to do so. This makes them a very interesting ant species for experienced ant keepers. Incidentally, these ants are often found under rocks in the wild. Therefore, it's always wise to choose a somewhat drier nest.
