When purchasing Camponotus cruentatus, keep in mind that these ants hibernate from December to February. They prefer to do so at temperatures between 16 and 21 degrees Celsius. Incidentally, the ant thrives at temperatures between 21 and 25 degrees Celsius, while the optimal temperature is between 23 and 24 degrees Celsius.
