Humidification system:

Advantages:

This small nest with an outside world is specially designed to systematically provide a starting colony with gradually more living space. Initially, the colony can nest inside the test tube and collect food via the small outside world attached to the test tube, which also provides access to one passage of the nest and the larger outside world. The rest of the nest remains closed and can easily be unscrewed when the colony is large enough and requires more space; this is possible, for example, starting from 50 workers (depending on the species).
